Adrian turns 1!

Adrian turns "1" today. His parents invited us to his party yesterday, but we couldn't make it. They are having another one Sat that we hope to attend. What a big boy! I hope I will have some pics to post of him then. He is doing well and his parents are doing well. We are so blessed to still have this connection to him and them. Yes, I did say his name. Since he is no longer in foster care that is not an issue.

This is going to be a grocery list so just be ready.

Went to court today for Little K. He will be with us for at least a month and maybe more. Nothing more to report on that, but we thought he might be going back sooner. Not the case.

Orphan care? What more does God want? I know HE wants it all, but what does that mean?
How much more can we do? Is this is or is there a bigger role we will play? What does that look like? Where?

We love the story of the starfish which  I've mentioned on here before. A man was walking along the beach reaching down and throwing starfish back into the ocean as he walked. Someone stopped him and asked why he was doing that... didn't he realize that he couldn't possibly save them all? He replied that he was very well aware that he couldn't save them all, but he could save one at a time... To that ONE it was a big deal and to the next one and the next one. We have only had the small of roll of loving 3 little starfish, 2 of which are still with us, but to them it matters.  Now we are encouraging others to join us caring for these children.  If more people begin throw in back starfish they will all be back in the ocean.  Won't you join us?

Please Lord.... not the aunt for Baby K, if it is your will. Not this family. We want her to have a fresh start. A way to show the world that her environment can make a big difference. That the cycle can be broken.
