Both are doing well. Baby A is now off the Zantac and on Soy formula and reflux is gone. He is still a needy baby, but he justs merely wants attention. He sleeps so much better, but still has a little trouble going to sleep. He will "Talk" loudly and that is him trying to put himself to sleep. A little rocking and a little singing and he can be put in bed awake and he will go down. Every now and then we ahve to go back in and pat him and he will go down. Most of the time he still sleeps in a bouncer, but often he is in his bed without it. We are moving in that direction. he does tend to roll over on his tummy which I don't like, but have little control over it. I just watch him and leave a monitor on. He still requires a bottle about every 3 hours with 6 oz. sometimes he wants more. He wants a bottle to get himslef to sleep, but we don't allow it. Just rocking and singing for a short time. He's getting used to it. He eats 1 to 2 jars of veggies at lunch and dinner. Doesn't like green beans, but will eat them. Just makes weird faces!
Baby K is a doll! She is "snorty" right now so we are watching her. No fever and no other symptoms, but we would like to stay out of the doctor's office. Unfortunately, we can't stay out. We are required by CPS (yes, that is Child Protective Services) that we MUST see the doctor for each child in our care in the first 2 weeks of having them. We must also keep their shots RIGHT on time. Never mind that my doctor's office warned us and told us that they would mark it in their chart that they DO NO and DID NOT recommend that a child as young as these be brought in right now with the flu virus's they are seeing. CPS wins... I have to take them. With much prayer, I might add. So far, though, they can't even squeeze them in. I am not sure what to do about this! Again, prayer. It's hard to know what is right and then again I can't control the offices or the requirements or the flu. God is in control! I keep calling and calling and calling and noting it in their files. Files, endless files. They are worth it! God is worth it!
Next week holds an ECi appointment for Baby K.... that makes me laugh....
She also gets to see her mom who told CPS when they took her that she didn't want her because she was the reason she was in this mess. Hum....well I could say loads of things about that, but it wouldn't get me anywhere. Again, God is in control and HE will take care of this baby AND her mother and those in her life. HE knows. We must have faith! We do have faith!
