I have become a blog stalker. I never totally understood that, but now I do. I seldom have time to read blogs much less update mine, but in the quest to work on saving money on groceries AND make better choices for us health-wise, I decide to go to the best resources I know... friends. I began my going to my friends blogs and their friend's blogs to read what they are doing food wise. Well it didn't take me long. Stacey Neal has a fabulous blog with details, details, details and her personal insights, which truly help. I have read and read and read and taken notes in the process. What a joy! She is quite the "super woman". Not only do her food posts really rock, but she has loads of great insights as well. Here is a quote I took off of her blog. I thought it was great enough to be repeated.
Ronald Regan put it well:
"The character that takes command in moments of crucial choices has already been determined. It has been determined by a thousand other choices made earlier in seemingly unimportant moments...it has been determined by all the day-to-day decisions made when life seemed easy and crises seemed far away, the decisions that, piece by piece, bit by bit, developed habits of discipline or of laziness, habits of self-sacrifice or self-indulgence; habits of duty and honor and integrity--or dishonor and shame."
Read it again ... then think about it and read it another time. Pretty powerful stuff. Every moment is crucial, every "little thing" may be bigger than you think. Just like Stacey's blog. She has no idea what a blessing she has been in my these last few days. In a moment when I felt overwhelmed I turned to friend's blogs and there was my bit of encouragement. A little nugget of hope and encouragement for me planted by God and nurtured through Stacey. Neat how these things work out. Here she is pregnant with her 4th child and yet making a difference in the lives of others. Thank you Stacey!
